Designing Financial Products from Both Sides of the System

I spent over a decade working inside the financial industry before transitioning into product design — giving me a unique perspective on how financial systems actually work, and where they break down for users.

My Background

I spent 10 years as a financial advisor working at firms like Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan Chase.

During that time, I worked directly with clients navigating investments, account management, and complex financial decisions — while also operating within the constraints of internal systems, compliance requirements, and operational workflows.

That experience fundamentally shaped how I approach design today. I don’t just design for the interface — I design for the entire system behind it.

What I Focus On

  • Simplifying complex financial workflows into intuitive experiences

  • Designing systems that support both users and internal operations

  • Balancing usability with regulatory and business constraints

  • Creating scalable patterns across financial products

Systems Thinking

I approach design as a system — not just a series of screens.

Financial products are inherently complex, involving multiple stakeholders, data dependencies, and regulatory considerations. My focus is on structuring that complexity into clear, usable experiences that scale across the product.

A Bit More About Me 😀

Outside of design, I’m usually spending time with my family, staying active, or working on creative projects that allow me to explore new ideas and perspectives.
